A little bit about me.....

I am a fully qualified, experienced, maths teacher and have been tutoring for over 15 years. In my career I have taught at some of the leading local prep schools including holding the position of Head of Department for a number of years. I previously taught in a top comprehensive secondary school as well as more recently being appointed lead teacher of maths in a SEN school. I have extensive experience in teaching maths at SATs, 11 plus, Common Entrance, Scholarship and GCSE levels as well as supporting students who have additional learning needs.

I am married with four grown up children and live in Crowborough, East Sussex. 

My Tutoring services.

Online tuition

I offer one-to-one online maths tuition, conducting sessions through an online meeting, using software which allows my screen to be shared with the tutee. This allows me to demonstrate an example via an interactive whiteboard and use a variety of resources tailored to the student's individual needs.

Face to Face tuition

I understand that for some students online tuition simply doesn't work and in these cases I offer face to face tuition, this can be done on a one-to-one basis or in small group classes. In addition to weekly face to face or online sessions all students are provided with access to a GCSE revision portal from which they can continue to practice the work that we have covered.
